Cannary House

Cannery Cottage is a laid back, and newly renovated home ON THE BEACH in Kommetjie. It is full of character and French flair and has outstanding views of Long Beach towards Chapman’s Peak, especially from the top deck. Very comfortable with a nice sized swimming pool and direct beach access, this home has it’s own water filtration system and borehole so there is no restriction to water usage. There is also a pool safety cover for families with small children.

Cannery Cottage consists of a main house and a small self contained flat that can be rented out together to sleep 10 guests in total.

The outside entertainment area is where you will be spending most of your time at the house. There is a large swimming pool surrounded by a wooden deck with a built in braai and umbrella for all-day entertainment. The outside seating area has a number of low couches and a table for you to eat at and enjoy a lazy afternoon. There is a covered and sheltered sand pit for the young ones to play in and enjoy the outdoors, as well as a little toy kitchen for them to play with and cook the famous “mud pies” for the family.

Viewing Deck:
The upstairs viewing deck is one of the main attractions about Cannery Cottage. All year round, you are greeted with the most stunning uninterrupted views of the ocean and Chapman’s Peak mountain in the distance. From here you can watch the surf, sunrise and Sealife.

The large open plan kitchen leads onto the dining room and out onto the pool deck with a partially covered patio. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need and even has a breakfast counter to sit at. The large wooden dining table seats 7 guests and is perfect for entertaining. There is a small laundry room just off from the kitchen which has a washing machine and tumble dryer. In the kitchen there is the following:
